Arabic Almond Honey Cake Recipe – Make your Moment Special with It

Arabic honey cake is everyone’s favorite cuisine in Middle Eastern countries. There are countless variations available for making this cake, which can make it more scrumptious and mouthwatering. While, this Arabic inspired cake is made with wheat flour, sugar, and melted butter, and topped with honey and almonds. The half-baked cake absorbs all the delicious honey syrup which makes the cake very soft and moist. It looks not only gorgeous but also tastes heavenly. The fragrant of rose water and cinnamon injects all the deliciousness that you need. This dessert is perfect with a cup of tea or strong coffee.

For the cake:

  • Melted butter —- ⅓ cup
  • Eggs —- 3
  • Sugar —- ¼ cup
  • Vanilla extract —- ½ teaspoon

  • Baking powder —– ½ teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour —- ½ cup
  • Flour —– 1 tablespoon

For the Topping Syrup:

  • Butter —- ½ cup
  • Brown sugar —- ¼ cup
  • Honey —- ⅓ cup
  • Cinnamon —- ½ teaspoon
  • Rose water —- ½ cup
  • Lemon Juice —- 2 tablespoons
  • Slivered almonds —- ½ cup
  • Water —- 1 cup

Servings: 8

Preparation Time: 40 minutes

Baking Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Spray the butter on a 10 inches springform baking pan.
  2. Beat the eggs and mix sugar and vanilla in it. Stirring it until it whitens.
  3. Add butter to the egg mixture and mix well.
  4. Combine the flour and baking powder together, add the beaten egg mixture and mix it properly until it converts into a battered.
  5. Place this batter into the prepared baking pan and bake it for almost 10-12 minutes.
  6. While cake is baking, make the topping syrup by melting butter and adding remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil until it turns into a thick sauce form (Stirring well continuously).
  7. When the egg batter is done, remove cake from oven and smoothly pour the topping syrup over the cake.
  8. Return the cake to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until completely baked.
  9. Take out of the oven and decorate it with powdered sugar and almonds. Enjoy this Yummy and mind-blowing cake with a cup of tea or coffee!
