  • Skinless & boneless chicken breast halves —- 2 pounds (cut into 2-inch pieces)
  • Onions —- 2, cut into large chunks

  • Green bell pepper —- 1 large, cut into large chunks
  • Fresh flat-leaf parsley —- 1 cup, chopped
  • Lemon juice —– 1/4 cup
  • Vegetable oil —– 1/4 cup
  • Plain yogurt —– 3/4 cup
  • Garlic —- 4 cloves, minced
  • Tomato paste —– 2 teaspoons
  • Salt —– 1 1/2 teaspoons
  • Dried oregano —– 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper —– 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground allspice —– 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon —– 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground cardamom —– 1/8 teaspoon

Preparation Time: 4 hours 40 minutes


  1. Combine the lemon juice, vegetable oil, yogurt, tomato paste, garlic, salt, oregano, all spice, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and cardamom in a large bowl and mix in a proper way.
  2. Add chicken and toss to coat and transfer this mixture into a large plastic bag. Refrigerate this mixture at least 4 hours.
  3. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil grate.
  4. Place the chicken halves, onions, and bell peppers onto metal skewers.
  5. Simmer them on a preheated grill until the chicken is golden and tender, about 5 minutes each side. Serve them on a large platter and drizzle the parsley over the skewers.
