Middle Eastern Kibbeh Recipe- Make it Tonight!

Kibbeh– So Delectable and Tantalizing!!!. It is a delightful, and healthful dish from the Middle East traditionally made with lamb meat, bulgur, and other spices. Beef variations are also available in some Middle Eastern countries. But, here I’m going to share a very easy-to-make Kibbeh recipe which is made into lamb meat and burglar patties and deep fried in olive oil. All these ingredients will fill your mouth with water and excite your taste buds.

This mouth-watering dish is most often found in restaurants in baked form. You can serve it with tahini or sesame seeds paste. So, see this simple kibbeh recipe and try to make it on your own.

  • Medium coarse bulgur —- 2/3 cup
  • Fresh mint leaves —– 1 cup
  • Onion —– 1 large, chopped
  • Ground cumin —– 1 teaspoon
  • Ground allspice —— 1 teaspoon
  • Salt —– 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper —– 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lean ground lamb —— 1 1/2 pounds
  • Olive oil —— 3 tablespoons

Servings: 12

Preparation Time: 32 minutes


  1. Take a microwave-safe bowl and place bulgur in it. Add water to cover the top of the bulgur and place this bowl in the oven and simmer on high almost 2 minutes, until bulgur is puffed-up and the water is absorbed.
  2. Cook for a short time and keep it
  3. Place the mint leaves and onions in the bowl of a food processor. Blend them gradually, until both of them are finely chopped.
  4. Combine the mint-onion mixture with bulgur, cumin, allspice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add ground lamb to the mixture and mix thoroughly.
  6. Using damp hands, make the small palm-sized patties from the lamb and bulgur mixture.
  7. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  8. Add the kibbeh patties one by one and simmer until they are golden brown and soft. Turn their side after frying one side, about 6 minutes on each side.
  9. Serve kibbeh with tahini and Enjoy.
